Ladies Tour of Qatar eerste wegwedstrijden in 2009Het is alweer half januari, en over 3 weken staan, zoals het er nu naar uitziet, voor mij de eerste wegwedstrijden op het programma. Met mijn team Lotto-Belisol zal ik 5 februari samen met nog 5 ploegmaatjes en begeleiding afreizen naar de Ladies Tour of Qatar. Een week na de professionals rijden wij een internationale 3-daagse (UCI 2.9.2) van 8-10 februari. Op de 11e reizen we dan weer terug naar Nederland. Ik kijk er alvast naar uit!
Om alvast een basis te leggen en de conditie aan te scherpen, vertrek ik morgen voor een 10-daags trainingskamp in de Algarve, Portugal (17-27 jan.). Samen met oud-ploegmaatje Andrea Bosman en haar vriend Wim, de Zweedse renster Sara Mustonen van het Nederlandse clubteam Merida, en twee ploegmaatjes Kim en Grace, zullen we in de heuvels, en hopelijk in mooi weer kilometers weg kunnen trappen. Eind volgende week komen dan nog 2 ploegmaatjes, Elise en Annelies, bij ons aansluiten. A select position already coveted by the brand new Ladies Tour of Qatar, which will be launched early on in 2009. From the 8th to the 10th of February, the worlds elite in womens cycling will be present in Doha, fighting for victory. De Bovenkarspelse hardrijdster maakt na een zeer succesvol 2008 ook het komende deel seizoen uit van de Belgische Lotto-Belisol-formatie. De driedaagse vindt van 8 tot en met 10 februari plaats.
